Renewed partnership with Andritz

Solex to apply cooling technology at Texas treatment plant

CALGARY, Alberta – Solex Thermal Science is pleased to announce a renewed partnership with Andritz Group that will see the application of indirect heat transfer technology as a long-term solution to treat biosolids at the Village Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant in Fort Worth, Texas.

As part of the agreement, Solex will contribute to this project by providing for the cooling of 13,500 pounds of biosolids per hour through a modular vertical plate heat exchanger – with the pellets later recycled as a fertilizer.

Village Creek, a Class A facility, produces and reuses about 28,000 dry tonnes per year of biosolids. The plant serves a population of more than 900,000 residents, processing more than 108 million gallons of wastewater per day from the City of Fort Worth and surrounding area.
