In addition, learn more about about the emerging role of plate- and pipe-based heat exchange technology in fertilizer producers' decarbonization push. Igor Makarenko, Chief Sales Officer at Solex, will co-present with Mark Boocock, Managing Director of Econotherm (UK) Ltd on topics related to:
- How plate-based moving bed heat exchangers (MBHEs) that are commonly found at the product cooling stage can economically realize the thermal energy in existing waste streams.
- Where that energy can then be used, including the pre-heating of combustion air in equipment such as steam boilers, fluid beds and rotary drum dryers.
- How heat pipe heat exchangers can also recover thermal energy from particle-laden air exhausted from the drying process, and similarly where it can then be used.
- Additional opportunities for heat pipe heat exchangers in recovering waste heat, with a focus on turbines, condensers and gas-fired heaters at the ammonia and nitrate-making stages.
