Solex Thermal Science will be presenting at the AISTech 2025, hosted in Nashville, Tennessee, U.S., May 5-8.

Scott Harris, Regional Director, Americas, will participate in the Technical Conference, presenting on Tuesday, May 6 at 10 a.m. ET. The presentation titled DRI Pellet Heating and Cooling Energy Recovery Using Vertical Tube Heat Exchangers will cover how vertical tube heat exchangers using new refractory materials can recover thermal energy from EAF plants to pre-heat DRI before the EAF, and thereby reduce primary energy consumption. 

Scott's presentation will also discuss heat pipe technology, and how it can capture energy from melting furnace flue gas streams — including their hot off-gases, which can significantly reduce carbon footprints.

AISTech is North America’s largest annual iron and steel technology conference and exposition. The annual event is meant to provide a global perspective on today’s marketplace by featuring technologies from all over the world that help steelmakers to compete more effectively. This year's event is expected to welcome more than 7,000 industry professionals from 40-plus countries.
