Who's who in fertilizer handling, bagging and blending

Material handling systems play an important role in fertilizer production — not the least of which includes maintaining product quality and ensuring an operation runs smoothly.

Fertilizer International thumbnail NEWWith continued innovation reshaping the technology being used at this vital stage, Fertilizer International magazine recently highlighted Solex Thermal Science's recent expansion into the bulk materials handling market.

Featured in the September/October 2021 issue as part of a "Who's who in fertilizer handling, bagging and blending," the article covers Solex's new lineup of in-house fabricated standalone feeders for industries such as fertilizer, food products and industrial materials.

Solex Thermal Science CEO Lowy Gunnewiek explains the expansion: “This move is a natural evolution for Solex Thermal Science given our 30 years’ of experience in moving solids such as prills, granules and pellets through heat exchangers with incredible precision.”

In the feature, Fertilizer International covers Solex's oscillating gate design that, in fact, is already in active use within the fertilizer industry. More than 80 of Solex’s oscillating gate feeders are currently operating as part of vertical heat exchangers in nearly a dozen countries around the world. More than two-thirds of these are in fertilizer applications such as urea, NPK, MAP and potash.
