Cooling Biosolids

The Solex heat exchanger is capable of handling any relatively free-flowing powder or crystalline bulk solids, making it the perfect candidate to cool biosolids. 

After drum drying, belt drying or fluid bed drying applications are completed, our exchanger will cool the biosolid to uniform temperatures while using up to 90% less energy.

After the mechanical heating and drying process, biosolids must be stabilized to prevent decomposition and possible smoldering or auto ignition. Stabilization is accomplished through cooling the biosolids indirectly via conductivity, thus preventing fires or explosions in the subsequent handling and storage stages. The Solex heat exchanger uses indirect heat transfer technology to ensure each particle is thermally stable through its core.
