Solex presents to Colombia sugar industry
Highlights include overview of vertical plate technology at work, avoiding caking/darkening
Solex Thermal Science was honoured today to join members of the Colombian Association of Sugar Cane Technicians, Tecnicaña, and our partner in the region, Equisol S.A.S., to discuss the topic of vertical plate technology in the sugar industry.
Co-presented by Pedro Moran, Global Sales Director of Food Products, Jean-Marc Reichling, Global Sales Director, and Caio Raineri, Operations Consultant, topics covered during the presentation included an overview of how vertical plate technology works, the role of mass flow and indirect heat transfer, as well as identifying where the cooling technology fits in the overall sugar production process.
Moran also addressed many of the challenges facing today’s sugar producers, and how vertical plate technology helps to:
Maintain accurate and uniform moisture/temperature control
Prevent caking during processing and storage
Avoid darkening to meet ICUMSA scores
Solex would like to thank Tecnicaña and Equisol for the opportunity to share our expertise in bulk solids thermal exchange with members of your community.
