30 years of global excellence
We are the global market leader and developer of high-efficiency, indirect heat exchange technology for the heating, cooling, drying and energy recovery of/from solids, liquids and gases.
Over the past 30 years, our company has installed more than 1,300 heat exchangers in more than 50 countries worldwide with applications such as fertilizer, oilseeds, sands, minerals, chemicals and polymers.
In recent years, our company has expanded into the energy-transition sector with key collaborations on decarbonization applications such as industrial waste heat recovery, concentrated solar power and carbon capture.
Heat bulk solids up to 700°C using water, steam, air or thermal oil, with guaranteed thermal performance and the ability to use recovered energy.
Cool bulk solids from up to 2,000°C using water or air, with near-zero emissions and opportunities for waste heat recovery/reuse.
An ultra-efficient means of drying bulk solids while eliminating product loss/contamination and reducing primary energy consumption.
Vertical plate conditioning technology heats/dries oilseeds to prescribed temperatures and moisture levels prior to oil extraction.
We have two units from Solex operating, one in Sebewaing and one in Croswell, and we’ve never had any issues with either of them. Both have been very low maintenance. If there was an opportunity, we would definitely work together again.
Azomures is very satisfied with all the Solex fertilizer cooling installations, in particular with the primary and secondary AN/CAN coolers which, in tandem, have brought about an important product quality improvement as well as an operational improvement, reducing dust emissions and lowering energy costs.
We are very happy with the performance of the Solex. The process is very simple and we haven’t had any issues with cooling or bridging.
The Solex [salt] cooler was purchased in 1995. This cooler has been relocated 3 times in this time span. This unit has been so trouble free. When we decide to retire the unit, we will definitely approach Solex for the replacement unit.
We’ve been operating our Solex unit for a couple of years and are happy with the energy savings and heat recovery with our preheating, drying and conditioning of rapeseed. Solex was a reliable partner during the commissioning and start up phase, and continue to provide ongoing technical support today.
After more than 6 months of operation we’re confident we’ve found the best cooling solution that delivers increased savings and energy efficiency.
The Solex heat exchanger has proven itself to be a great value-added system. It requires nearly zero maintenance, it delivers improvements in quality through the reduction of core scrap and rework of cores while reducing our process variation, which allows us to optimize our core making process.
