Drying Bulk Solids, Oilseeds and Grains
The Problem with
Conventional Dryers
Conventional drying technologies utilize hot air to heat the product and remove moisture from the product. In this process the following takes place:
Air at ambient temperature
Is heated
Reaches its saturation point after absorbing moisture from the product
The Solex Drying or
Conditioning Process
Increases the moisture carrying capacity of the air by using indirect heating technology to keep the temperature of the drying air constant. As a result, only a very small amount of cross-flow air is needed to remove moisture from the product. The efficiency of this technology is greater than 90%.
