Cooling Bulk Solids Using Air
ZERO Emission, Dust, Fines, or Odors
The indirect air-cooling technology means air is not in direct contact with the bulk solids product during the cooling process like it is with older technologies. Since air is not blow across the product for cooling there are no emissions, hot air or hot dust to treat with web scrubbers.
Simple -
No Moving Parts
The indirect cooling technology operates without the need for moving parts, increasing reliability and minimizing maintenance. The simple design significantly reduces the maintenance process and ongoing operating costs.
Compact Design
The vertical configuration provides a compact installation footprint making it easy to integrate into new or existing facilities. The installation footprint of a Solex heat exchanger is up to 75% smaller than competing technologies.
Uniform Product Temperatures
The final product temperature exiting the Solex cooler is guaranteed to be uniform and stable. The mass flow design ensures that product moves with uniform velocity through the heat exchanger and enables long residence times (5-10 minutes). This feature, combined with a plate design without dead-zones, enables even temperature distribution as the product is cooled, producing remarkably stable and uniform product temperatures.
Produces a Superior Final Product
The slow and controlled movement of the bulk materials produces a superior final product. It prevents product abrasion and degradation so that there is no change in particle characteristics or crystal shape. A superior final product is produced. Since air is not in contact with the product, risks of bacterial contamination, odor contamination, and product moisture content changes are eliminated.
