Drying Canola Using Solex Technology

Solex oilseed drying technology is engineered specifically for drying free flowing bulk solid materials such as oilseeds and grains. This ultra-efficient technology operates with efficiencies of greater than 90%, and can also utilize waste heat as the heat source for drying canola, making it one of the most efficient drying technologies available for oilseed drying. Learn About Waste Heat Utilization for Oilseed Drying

Waste heat can be captured and used as a heat source to indirectly heat oilseeds and grains, reducing the demand for high grade steam, providing energy efficiency and operational cost savings. Watch this video to learn more.

Benefits of the Solex Technology for Drying Canola

Solex indirect plate technology heats the seeds indirectly with hot water or steam in the plates. Then a small amount of cross flow air removes the moisture from the product. This method of drying canola uses a limited amount of air resulting in efficiencies of greater than 90%, compared to traditional methods of oilseed drying where efficiency can be as low as 30%.

Controlling Final Product Temperature and
Moisture Content

Solex dryer technology enables both moisture content and final product temperatures to be independently and precisely controlled, regardless of changing variables of seed input.
