Neville Jordison
Neville Jordison is the President and a
founding partner of Solex Thermal Science. Under his leadership and in
nine years, Solex operations have evolved from a division of Cominco
Fertilizer to a company that is the world leader in the science of
heating and cooling bulk solids. The secrets of this success are
Neville's entrepreneurial spirit, an unswerving commitment to client
service and a broad understanding of the bulk solids processing and
fertilizer industries. Neville has a degree in Mechanical Engineering
from the Imperial College of Science and Technology in London, England
and is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers,
Geologists, and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGGA).
Claudio Forniciov
Claudio Forniciov, Senior Vice President of Sales, directs all sales strategies and activities in Europe
and Russia. Claudio is a founding partner of Solex Thermal Science and
has been an integral part of Solex for over 9 years. Claudio has the
added responsibility of managing the Solex agent network to promote and
advance the Solex technology in various areas of Europe and Russia. He
is a graduate of the University of Alberta with degree in Chemical
Engineering and is a member of the Association of Professional
Engineers, Geologists, and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGGA) as well as
the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE).
Farah Salaria
Farah Salaria has recently joined Solex
Thermal Science as the Vice President, Product Development. Farah comes
to Solex with extensive knowledge in the area of plate heat exchangers
and centrifugal separation equipment. She has worked in oil and gas,
water and waste treatment as well as the chemical and the fertilizer
industries. Farah holds a degree in Chemical Engineering and is also a
member of The Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists, and
Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGGA) and is on the Industrial Water
Quality Committee for the Water Environment Federation (WEF).
Walter Türk
As Vice President of Europe and International Sales,
Walter Türk directs all sales strategies and activities throughout
Africa, Asia, Australia and the Middle East. Walter has been a vital
part of Solex for over 7 years, and has vast experience in directing
and managing joint ventures and license agreements in Asia, Europe and
the Middle East. A seasoned professional, he has held several senior
level sales and marketing positions and successfully developed and
implemented long term strategic management plans for a variety of
companies in the industrial valve, plastic and food industries. He is a
graduate of Technical University in Berlin, Germany with degrees in
Economics and Mechanical Engineering.
Ashley Byman
Ashley Byman, Research and Development
Manager, joined Solex in 2001 and has 7 years experience in the powder
and bulk solids processing industry. Ashley manages Solex R&D
projects which involves developing new product lines and enhancing the
capabilities of current product offering. He also provides technical
support to Engineering and Sales. Prior to joining Solex Ashley worked
in the oil and gas industry for 7 years working on mechanical and
acoustical analysis of gas compressors involving finite element
analysis and vibration troubleshooting. He is a graduate of the
University of Saskatchewan and holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering
and is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers,
Geologists, and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGGA).
Lee Chappell
Lee Chappell, Vice President Engineering, has
16 years experience in the oil and gas industry and joined Solex in
2006. Lee is responsible for engineering, design and coordination of
all fabrication activities as well as overseeing the Solex Quality
Assurance and Safety programs. Lee has considerable background in
product development, engineering and design specializing in equipment
fabrication and pressure vessel design. He is a graduate of the
University of Calgary and holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and
is a member of The Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists,
and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGGA).
Peter Huang
Peter Huang holds a Ph.D. in Thermal Fluid
Science from Technical University of Berlin, Germany. He has more than
20 years of experience in academic and industrial research in the field
of fundamental and applied heat and mass transfer. He has written over
40 research paper and reports, and published on a number of prestigious
professional journals, such as International Journal of Heat and Mass
Transfer, ASME Journal of Heat Transfer, Journal of Nuclear
Engineering, International Journal of Numerical Heat Transfer etc. In
recent years, Dr. Huang has been focusing on simulating and improving
the thermal-hydraulic performance of various types of industrial heat
exchangers. He is also designing and developing state-of-the-art
web-based heat exchanger configuration and sales software currently
being used by companies worldwide. Dr. Huang is the architect of the
proprietary ThermaPro thermal design and optimization software for SOLEX bulk
solid heat exchangers.
Mariëtta Mansvelt
Mariëtta Mansvelt, Service Manager for Europe
has been with Solex Thermal Science for 9 years. Her responsibilities
include product testing, demonstrations and technical support for start
up and commissioning services. Mariëtta has a masters in Environmental
Technology.
Joe Marinelli
Joseph Marinelli is President of Solids
Handling Technologies, Inc, a corporation located in Fort Mill, SC. He
has been providing consulting services since 1972. As a former
consultant with Jenike & Johanson, Inc., Mr. Marinelli has years of
experience testing solids and designing bins and feeders for reliable
flow. He lectures frequently on the topic, has published several
articles including a chapter in a chemical encyclopedia, and the
introductory chapter of The USDA Food Technology Handbook. He also
provides several seminars at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, WI
and to companies’ worldwide. Mr. Marinelli is also a columnist for the
Internet website, www.powderandbulk.com. He has been working with Solex
Thermal Science since 1994. He received his B.S. in Mechanical
Engineering in 1984 from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. He is a
member of ASME, AIChE, and an ASTM committee.
Andy Nix
As the Senior Sales Engineer for North America, Andy Nix is
responsible for the complete Solex customer experience in the United
States. He works directly with our customers to define and recommend
the appropriate Solex Thermal Science solution. Andy has been with
Solex for 4 years. Prior to his role at Solex, Andy developed his
skills in the areas of material flow properties and bin and feeder
design. In addition to his comprehensive background in the bulk solids
processing industry Andy is a degreed Associate Process Engineer. Andy
is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and
the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. (IEEE).
Jean-Marc Reichling
As the Sales Engineer for Europe,
Jean-Marc Reichling is responsible for the complete Solex customer
experience in France and Belgium. He works directly with our customers
to define and recommend the appropriate Solex Thermal Science solution.
Jean-Marc has been with Solex for 7 years. Prior to his role at Solex,
Jean-Marc worked as an Export Engineer for a company specializing in
manufacturing equipment for the sugar and fertilizer industries. In
addition to his extensive background in the sugar industry Jean-Marc
has a degree in Chemical Engineering.
